Jumping on ratings even "Game of Thrones" "Chernobyl" from HBO – Not the first and probably not the last project about the Chernobyl accident, but definitely the most successful. For more than thirty years that passed after April 26, 1986, the tragedy left a noticeable mark in mass culture. Chernobyl lit up in the animated series about Spider-Man, and thirdly "Transformers", and in “Universal soldier ". Even the “strong nut” Willis had to call in Pripyat.

And if in most films the Chernobyl alienation zone is a mysterious either Russian, or the Ukrainian place, where something seems to have exploded many years ago and crawled out mutants, then of high-quality projects that more thoughtfully comprehended the technogenic catastrophe, much less. "Decay" (1990, USSR, USA)

"Ranger from the atomic zone" (1999, Russia, Belarus)

"Door" (2008, Ireland)

Short film based on the book “Chernobyl prayer. Chronicle of the future " Nobel laureate Svetlana Aleksievich. The message of the film is simple: "On that day we have not just lost the city, we have lost our lives". "Forbidden zone" (2012, USA)

Of course, these are not all films and series in which the Chernobyl disaster and its consequences are somehow lit.
